Fall Cookout
WHCA’s annual fall cookout will be held on Friday, October 27 from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. WHCA will provide hamburgers and hotdogs. We ask that our parents bring drinks, side dishes, desserts, etc. There will be a few games for our younger guests. Generally, this is not a costume event for older kids, but younger kids may wear costumes.

WHCA will not be providing supervision at the cookout; therefore, students attending the cookout will need to be accompanied by an adult. Please do not drop off your child unless you have arranged supervision with another family. Thank you for your cooperation.

Archery
Our archery team t-shirts will be $10.00 each and will need to be purchased by Monday, October 30, 2017, and are scheduled for delivery on November 3, 2107. Please see Mr. Hucks for more information.

Our first district meet will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at New Salem Baptist Church in Griffin, Ga. Our flight will begin at 11:00 a.m. A $10.00 entry per archer will be due on Friday, November 3, 2017.

We are in the process of confirming a second district meet on December 2, 2017, in LaGrange, Georgia.

Annual Ski trip

Start planning today to be a part of our annual ski trip to Cataloochee Ski Area in Maggie Valley, NC this winter. The dates are Thursday, January 4, 2018, through Friday, January 5, 2018. Due to the nature of this activity, each student skier must be accompanied by an adult. The price of the ticket this year is $140.00 and includes two days of unlimited skiing, lift tickets, ski rental, lunches and snacks for each day. Please be aware that we need a minimum of 15 people skiing to secure this rate. If we do not have enough people skiing, the price will increase, or the trip may be cancelled.

A non–refundable deposit of $30.00 per person is due by Friday, November 17, 2017, with final payment due on Friday, December 8, 2017. This price does not include hotel, meal, and travel expenses. Hotel information will follow soon. Please note that a parent or guardian should be present while skiers are on the slopes. Please do not drop your child off and leave the ski area unless supervision is arranged with another parent.
